As per ‘Watchers on the Wall‘- a GoT community site, one of the show’s directors was a massive UFC fan. Hence, ‘The Notorious’ was offered a part to play in season 7. As per them, there were high chances of McGregor playing the role of a pirate belonging to Euron Greyjoy’s crew, on the ship Silence.

It was thought to be a small cameo role. Hence, his fans would not have to worry about his acting skills owing to the nature of the character he was supposed to play. However, the entire gig did not take place. In fact, McGregor said nobody from the show had approached him.

Has Conor McGregor rejected other acting roles?

While his GoT appearance didn’t take place, he has received other acting offers as well.

As reported by ‘Bleacher Report‘, the fighter was supposed to appear in XXX: The Return of Xander Cage starring Vin Diesel. However, he could not continue through with it because he experienced a fight loss against Nate Diaz at UFC 196.
