UFC featherweight, Giga Chikadze earned a first-round finish over Cub Swanson in his last fight. ‘Ninja’ folded Swanson with a body kick further adding to his status as one of the decorated strikers in the UFC roster. Now he has called out fellow contender Calvin Kattar for a fight.

Kattar last fought in January in the first UFC card of 2021. He was absolutely demolished by Max Holloway River 5-rounds. But ‘The Boston Finisher’ remains one of the division’s finest.

He will look to bounce back from his last loss with a win over ‘Ninja’. However, the timing of his return is questionable as he accumulated too much damage in his last fight.

Hey  @CalvinKattar when do you wanna fight?! I know you’ve been asked … P.S. I watched your interview saying you feel you ready to go!  @ufc @danawhite @seanshelby @AliAbdelaziz00,” wrote ‘Ninja’ on Twitter.

Chikadze believes he is one of the most decorated strikers in the entire UFC roster. “I believe because I know it. I know this from the facts.

If you guys check my background, I’ve been a fighter since before. I became a world champion in karate first, twice. European champion. Multiple time national karate champion and a different kind of karate,” he has said previously.

Not point karate or something. I fought from point to kyokushin and full contact, all different types of karate. I always when I was young, I was not fighting my age guys.

“I was fighting older people, higher age people with different weight divisions. My fights were always very entertaining,” he added.

Is Giga Chikadze vs Calvin Kattar the fight to make?

Stylistically, a matchup between the duo will be a banger. Both are two of the finest strikers in the entire UFC roster. Further, they are both elite fighters as their records speak for themselves.

So, the fight is bound to happen at some point. Making it next only makes sense considering their rankings in the division.

But it all depends on when Kattar is ready to go again and if he has recovered well enough from his last fight. Nevertheless, fans can only hope these two men eventually collide inside the Octagon soon.
