The UFC authorities often look for local talents to promote in their cards. Despite operating internationally, the UFC realizes that noted local fighters can also draw a considerable number of heads to their events. This is why the promotional authorities chose the UFC 221 card in Perth to feature the debut of the current UFC Middleweight champ, Israel Adesanya. UFC fans have witnessed a number of similar incidents to date.

Recent reports also revealed that the promotion is about to pull off a similar task in the near future. Several Russian fighters have fought for the UFC to date and became noted faces. Starting from the former UFC Lightweight champion, Khabib Nurmagomedov to the current Lightweight king, Islam Makhachev. Russians are known for showcasing their dominance in the ground game. But, UFC fans with such opinions might receive a severe shock when they witness the touted Russian Middleweight, Sharabutdin Magomedov.

The startling record of Sharabutdin Magomedov speaks for itself

A look at the victories of the most noted Russian UFC stars, Khabib Nurmagomedov and Islam Makhachev will clarify that they have achieved most of them by submissions. But, Sharaputdin Magomedov is different in a few ways. Most notably, he trusts his striking game a lot more than his skills on the ground. Currently, ‘Shara Bullet’ holds an undefeated record of 11-0. Also, all of his wins have come by means of a KO or a TKO.

To date, Magomedov has only fought for Russian promotions. However, his 11-0 record says a lot about his prowess. Even more exciting is the fact that he has finished off 7 of his 11 opponents within the first round. The 29-year-old is also an all-round striker and has gained victories with head kicks and knees apart from his punches as well.

The UFC has given Sharabutdin Magomedov a tough challenge with an advantage

Most fans might have already guessed that Sharabutdin Magomedov is about to make his way into the UFC. While that is true, the UFC authorities aren’t interested in playing around and have matched him with a really tough opponent.

The UFC has scheduled ‘Shara Bullet’ for the UFC 294 PPV against the known UFC Middleweight, Bruno Silva, on 21 October. Magomedov’s opponent Silva is also known for his heavy strikes and has earned most of his career victories by KOs and TKOs. However, he also has submission victories.

But, the Abu Dhabi-based UFC 294 card may also be a major advantage for the Russian. The pro-Russian crowd at the capital of the UAE has showcased wholehearted support for Khabib and Makahchev previously. Hence, it may be expected Magomedov might also feel at home.

How do you see the fight playing out? Will the 29-year-old Russian be able to hold on to his undefeated record?

Like many of you, I too, tuned in for the infamous Nurmagomedov vs. McGregor bout live on October 6, 2018. Being an ardent fan of the UFC (and Dustin ‘The Diamond’ Poirier), I was always looking to have conversations about the same with others. But to my disappointment, I hardly found any followers of the sports to interact with. So I took it upon myself to do my part in popularizing the thrill and the agony behind the purest form of unarmed combat.
