Adesanya said, “After my UFC debut, he [Pereira] put like a contract up like he’s coming to the UFC as well. I’m like, alright, make your way up. I’ll f*** him up. 100%.”
Joe Rogan offered that Pereira has very good kickboxing skills, and he can beat anybody.
‘The Last Stylebender’ suggested, “We fought twice, that’s the thing. He’s beat me twice and the first time as well was another weird, he’s walking forward, and you know not landing shots. But I’m moving back and hitting him the whole time, and the judges gave it to him.”
“So, I was like, ‘alright, credit to you. You got the fight, but I’ll fight you again’ So if he makes his way to the UFC, he can get it, anytime.”

Besides being a phenomenal kickboxer, similar to Adesanya, ‘Poatan’, 5-1, has made a smooth transition in MMA. The only blemish on his record came in his MMA debut, that too in 2015.
The UFC middleweight champion is lapping his peers. Hence, Pereira’s inception in the middleweight roster offers a new challenge for ‘The Last Stylebender‘.

On the other hand, ‘Poatan’ is still young in his UFC career. Though he found the finish in his UFC debut, the win didn’t come easy for ‘Poatan’. Thus, Pereira has a long way to get to the champion. His toughest competition would be the grappling heavy fighters like Marvin Vettori or Jack Hermansson.
