The UFC welterweight champion, Kamaru Usman, and the UFC women’s flyweight champion, Valentina Shevchenko, are two of the most dominant stars in the promotion right now. Both of them rank first on the promotion’s pound-for-pound list and boast impressive resumes. With the way their career is going right now, it is safe to say that they are future UFC Hall of Famers.
As of June 2022, Kamaru Usman has five successful title defenses under his belt. Throughout his dominant UFC stint, which is still active, he has beaten some of the best fighters in the promotion, including Colby Covington, Jorge Masvidal, Tyron Woodley, and Gilbert Burns.

Even Valentina Shevchenko has reached GOAT status in the women’s flyweight division, with seven successful title defenses under her belt.
In a recent interview, UFC president Dana White praised the two champions for their incredible success in the promotion. He said, “You know it’s easier to get there than to stay on top. That’s why it’s so impressive when you have people like Valentina Shevchenko and Kamaru Usman that go on these runs.”

White also spoke about Shevchenko’s recent title defense at UFC 275 and how he predicted that it would be a challenge for her. He said, “I knew. I was talking about that all week. Going into that Shevchenko fight. All week I was talking about that Valentina fight. I said if Valentina rips through her the way she rips through everybody else, wow. And you saw it was a much tougher fight for Valentina. “
Dana White lauds Kamaru Usman as the “greatest welterweight ever”
Dana White has always praised the UFC’s pound-for-pound king after every dominant performance he’s put up in the octagon. The UFC President recently called ‘The Nigerian Nightmare’ the “greatest welterweight ever.” He picked Usman over the Hall of Famer Georges St Pierre, who is widely regarded as the best fighter in the UFC’s history.

White said in a recent statement, “I don’t know if anybody is a big threat for Kamaru Usman. Kamaru Usman is the pound-for-pound best fighter in the world. And he is the greatest welterweight ever.”
