Manon Fiorot: Nationality and Ethnicity

Manon Fiorot was born on February 17th, 1990, in Nice, France. ‘The Beast’ has made waves throughout the UFC Flyweight division with absolute dominance and amassed a 7-0 run since her debut in January 2021. However, the 35-year-old Frenchwoman’s MMA journey is not a recent enterprise. Fiorot started practicing Karate at the young age of 7 when she fell in love with the sport.

Fiorot made her debut in the world of MMA in 2016. However, her debut in the professional fighting realm didn’t happen until 2018. Unfortunately, her debut wasn’t exactly as she planned. She lost the bout, but this defeat ensured that she didn’t lose another fight in her career after that. The French flyweight contender’s current record stands at 12 wins and just 1 defeat as a professional fighter. But if we consider the two wins she secured during her exhibition MMA fights at The Fighter Season 2, we can say that she’s on a 14-fight win streak.

And every time Fiorot made her stance clear, she had the French national flag draped around her shoulders. But do you know what her athletic career was like during her pre-UFC life? Let’s find out!

Manon Fiorot’s athletic career before the UFC

During her early years, ‘The Beast’ was also an impressive snowboarder. After all, she did win the snowboarding championship while in snowboarding school. But when she turned 18, it was time for her to get back to Karate. She earned the black belt and soon after that, joined the French National team in 2014. But is Karate the only discipline she excelled in?

Fiorot dominated the fighting world throughout her career. And that was possible because of her Muay Thai and Kickboxing excellence. The French fighter won multiple national championships and clinched 3 K-1 National Championships. She even won the championship belt at  EFC Worldwide and UAE Warriors.

In the UFC 315 Countdown, Fiorot said, “During my kickboxing and Muay Thai training, I discovered MMA. And I was instantly drawn to this sport. I started training with Alrdic in 2016. As soon as I started to train, he promised me I was going to win and I was going to the UFC.”

And it turned out to be true. She not only found her way to the UFC but also secured a title shot against Valentina Shevchenko. But do her religious beliefs have a role to play in her professional success? Let’s take a look at Fiorot’s religious inclinations.

What religion does Manon Fiorot follow?

To be honest, Manon Caroline Fiorot has largely kept her private life out of the spotlight. However, we can certainly try and make an educated guess. According to the geographical sources, Nice is a region dominated by a Christian population. Therefore, Fiorot may belong to the same community.

But for now, we can watch her as she gets ready to take on Shevchenko in the co-main event of UFC 315. After Fiorot defeated the likes of Rose Namajunas and Erin Blanchfield, it’s only natural for her to try her luck for the flyweight championship belt. And we’d have to wait till Saturday evening to witness the outcome of the women’s flyweight title fight.

Do you believe that Manon Fiorot will get the win against Valentina Shevchenko this weekend? If yes, will it be a decision win? Let us know your thoughts in the comments section below.
