Derrick Lewis is one of the most famous names in the UFC heavyweight division. Along with being a hard hitter, Lewis is one of the funniest individuals on the UFC roster. The fighter always makes it a point to entertain his fans. During an interview, Lewis once mentioned that he was still shooting his shot for former UFC bantamweight queen Ronda Rousey.

Originally, the saga began in 2017. Lewis fought Rousey’s husband Travis Browne in the main event of a Fight Night card. The Black Beast secured a KO victory over Browne in round 2. In his post-fight speech, Lewis made a statement about Rousey. He said, “Where Ronda Rousey fine a** at?” 

Then in 2018, Lewis was asked about his opinion on Rousey signing with the WWE. Lewis said, “Thing’s a good thing you know. Because I got tired of seeing her get beat up. It’s hurting my heart and I’m still looking for her to this day. My wife doesn’t like me still searching for Ronda.” 

Lewis’ performances and humor make him one of the most charismatic individuals in the UFC. Famous podcast host and veteran UFC color commentator Joe Rogan credited The Black Beast’s Instagram for being one of the funniest pages.

In an episode with Ron White, Joe Rogan was reminded of Derrick Lewis’s famous incident at UFC 229 when the fighter took his shorts off. Remembering the incident, Rogan had a smile on his face.

The veteran color commentator expressed his love for Lewis and gave him a title. Rogan said, “I love that guy. Derrick Lewis, he’s a genius. He figured out a way to be himself.”

Rogan further spoke of Lewis’s Instagram page and heavily lauded it. The podcast host added, “If there’s anything f**king crazy going on in the world, Derrick Lewis has it on his Instagram page. His Instagram page is the best.”

Through his fighting style and personality, Derrick Lewis has earned a lot of fans. While the fighter is not going through the best time of his career, his fans will hope for a strong comeback from his side.
