Conor McGregor sparked controversy and drew the attention of MMA fans when he took a dig at his former teammate, Artem Lobov, on Twitter. Lobov, a former UFC fighter currently residing in Ireland, became the target of McGregor’s tweet regarding his financial situation.

This isn’t the first time McGregor has taken shots at Artem on social media, but due to the current situation in Europe, fans weren’t too pleased by his post. Many of the reactions to the post were against Conor, while some considered the remarks to be insensitive. Although, some fans were content with just making people laugh!

Lobov, also known as the ‘Russian Hammer’, is a former member of Conor McGregor’s team, but the two fighters are currently in a state of conflict. As evidenced by McGregor’s social media jibes at the former.

MMA fans were quick to respond, as seen by the number of replies the tweet received. However, it might not have been the reaction McGregor was hoping for.

The tweet received mixed reactions from fans, with some finding surreal humor in the situation.

Conor and Artem’s falling out after Khabib beef

Artem Lobov gained prominence as a result of his involvement in the Conor vs. Khabib bus incident. A video captured the infamous altercation, showing Khabib Nurmagomedov slapping Lobov while his entourage surrounded him.

McGregor later responded by throwing a dolly at a bus carrying UFC fighters at Barclays Centre, causing injuries to several individuals, including Michael Chiesa and Ray Borg. The incident left a lasting impact on fighters like Rose Namajunas, who revealed the story during her appearance on the JRE podcast.

Subsequently, Lobov and McGregor experienced a falling out, mainly related to issues concerning McGregor’s whiskey brand, Proper Twelve. Lobov claimed to have played a significant role in its establishment but later alleged being pushed out of the business.

The question remains: Will McGregor and Artem be able to reconcile their differences?
