The Russians have one by one taken turns in dominating UFC in various divisions. Be it Khabib Nurmagomedov, Islam Makhachev or Magomed Ankalaev. Word is, that Nurmagomedov has been wrestling with bears since a young age. While that may sound bizarre, people who have faced him in the ring would say otherwise.
Magomed Ankalaev is yet another devastator from Russia who fights in the Light Heavyweight division. He has been a monster in the ring as well. Recently, Ankalaev uploaded a short video on his Instagram that was later re-shared by mmamemes on Reddit. It was a horrific sight to see but somehow, Reddit UFC fans found a way to lighten the situation.

The Instagram video that Ankalaev uploaded was scary yet funny. By uploading the video of a “normal day” in Dagestan, the Light Heavyweight fighter opened the podium for UFC fans to come in with their hilarious Khabib Nurmagomedov references.

However, the humorous side of the internet came out when the Khabib Nurmagomedov references started pouring in. “Khabib would of subbed that bear after some ground and pound” said a possible Khabib fan. “Bear: “Where’s Khabib?!“, “Bear heavyweight“, “Where’s Khabib when you need him“, and “Why nobody want to wrestle me bratha” – these were some of the hysterical comments regarding Nurmagomedov.

Bears and Khabib – A revenge story?
Khabib Nurmagomedov is a beast of a fighter with inhuman strength and stamina. How does he do it? Well, the answer lies in his training. Nurmagomedov’s father ensured that he trained with bears from the young age of 9 years. While it may seem unbelievable to some, there are legitimate videos showing Khabib Nurmagomedov tussling with a bear at a young age.

Khabib Nurmagomedov has dominated his division and held his title for longer than any other Lightweight Champion. Ankalaev is a promising Russian fighter who, as of January 2023, has been ranked #2 in the Light Heavyweight Division. While he might not have wrestled with a bear during his training, one thing is for sure – this Russian mixed martial artist is also a threat to everyone in the division.
