There is no other fighter in the world of combat sports that can get the crowd going like Conor McGregor can. Fans all over the world adore the Irish fighter. ‘The Notorious’ has the slickest skills on the mic and is one of the best trash talkers in the UFC’s history.
During his ascension to the championship titles, the Irishman enjoyed one of the most memorable UFC runs. He had the entire world singing his praise and supporting him over champions like Eddie Alvarez and Jose Aldo.
McGregor even had the reporters join his trash talk before he took on Aldo and won his first title in his professional career. Here’s a glimpse of McGregor’s popularity back then.

The reporter also joined McGregor in trolling Aldo in the press conference. He asked Aldo, “Where does your forehead begin?” Even though Aldo was the featherweight king back then, McGregor had the whole crowd chanting his name and trolling the Brazilian.

Now Conor McGregor is the biggest name in the industry and is the richest fighter in the world. The fighter is hyping up his return to the octagon after his injury against Dustin Poirier at UFC 261. McGregor is said to return to the octagon this year, but now there are talks that we might not see him make a comeback until 2023.
Throwback to when Conor McGregor had the reporters trolling Eddie Alvarez
After his incredible win over Jose Aldo, Conor McGregor went on to take on the lightweight champion, Eddie Alvarez, for his lightweight belt and become the first double champion in UFC history. One reporter slammed Alvarez in a similar fashion to what happened at the press conference with Jose Aldo.

The reporter slammed Alvarez for talking down on McGregor at the press conference. McGregor praised the reporter’s spirit and him for his trash talk.
