In a recent Twitter clip shared by Aaron Bronsteter, Dana White, the President of the UFC, opened up about the highly anticipated Conor McGregor vs Michael Chandler bout that is supposed to take place later this year.

During the interview, White addressed several topics, including his concerns and thoughts regarding the matchup between McGregor and Chandler, as well as the unexpected confrontation between the two during their time on The Ultimate Fighter (TUF) reality show. The footage was leaked before the episode aired, causing a stir amongst the fans!

White dismissed speculation about Conor McGregor’s status in the USADA pool. Stating that he prefers to wait for concrete developments before discussing them. He emphasized that he focuses on immediate events. This indicated that McGregor’s status in the USADA pool and his eligibility to compete this year remains uncertain.

White also expressed his uncertainty regarding the Conor McGregor vs Michael Chandler bout by stating, “The Conor thing, who the hell knows how that’s going to play out. Who cares what USADA says, we’ll see what happens when it happens. So, I don’t know…”

Conor McGregor’s last Octagon appearance was in 2021

Conor McGregor’s last fight in the UFC was against Dustin Poirier for the second time. Unfortunately, McGregor suffered a fractured left tibia and fibula during the bout at UFC 264 in 2021. The officials declared the fight a victory for Poirier via TKO due to a doctor stoppage.
