Eduarda Moura was born and raised in the picturesque municipality of Riachuelo in the northwestern coastal state of Sergipe in Brazil. Living near the coast, it is unsurprising that the Brazilian female strawweight has a fondness for the sea.

After all, her social media is full of her hanging out at the beach with her partner and family members. Surprisingly, growing up, the Brazilian UFC star wasn’t interested in martial arts. A relative newcomer to combat sports (compared to most of her peers), ‘Ronda’ started training BJJ in 2018 at the age of 24.

She wasn’t much interested in competing when she joined BJJ classes and only wanted to lose some weight. However, pretty soon she fell in love with martial arts and made her MMA amateur debut in 2021, three years after she started training. The very next year, she made the lead and went pro.
