Former women’s UFC bantamweight champion, Miesha ‘Cupcake’ Tate has been on a two-fight losing streak since her outstanding return against Marion Reneau in July of 2021. Tate is set to take on Julia ‘Raging Panda’ Avila on the 2nd of December at UFC Fight Night: Dariush vs Tsarukyan. Given her two losses prior to this fight, Tate would need all the support she can get to secure a win.
Support doesn’t seem to be an issue for Tate, as she has a family with a fellow MMA fighter, Johnny Nunez. Nunez took part in the Ultimate Fighter season 22 and has also fought in Bellator MMA, WSOF, and ONE Championship. However, the 38-year-old has also struggled to get a win in quite some time.

His first loss would come under the recognized MMA banner, once known as WSOF, against Joe Condon in January 2015. Despite the loss, Nunez would compete in the 22nd season of The Ultimate Fighter. However, he lost both fights against Ryan Hall and David Teymur. He returned to get a win against David Jordan at WSOF 26 in December 2015.
