Brian Ortega has kept his personal life, especially his romantic life quite open to the public. In the past, he has dated a UFC fighter named Tracy Cortez. Prior to that, he was in a relationship with Stephanie Roberts, and as per several reports, they were married.

Roberts graduated from West High School in 2009 and was in college till 2012. She has a degree in Kinesiology, meaning the science of human body movement. Apart from this, Roberts has managed to keep her life private, and hence not much is open to public knowledge.  The duration of Ortega’s relationship with Roberts is also not known but they are currently divorced now.

Roberts and Ortega had two sons together, Caleb and Joshua. In a video posted by ESPN MMA, he appeared to have a great bond with his kids as he got them along and made them meet his friends during the Ultimate Fighter season.

In 2020, reports surrounding Ortega and UFC women’s flyweight contender Tracy Cortez emerged. With an impressive career record of 11 wins and 1 loss, she is currently on a five-fight win streak in the UFC and has remained undefeated in the promotion.

They gave glimpses of their relationship to their fans on their Instagram accounts. In fact, Cortez actively supported Ortega during his fights, including his UFC 266 bout against Alexander Volkanovski. However, for reasons unknown, they ended their relationship in early 2023, which also led to deleting each other’s pictures from their social media accounts.

Ortega is all set to make his return to the MMA cage against Yair Rodríguez. Both fighters have fought each other in the past in which Ortega was handed a defeat after a stoppage. However, ‘T-City’ has an opportunity now to avenge his defeat this weekend as he is set to face him in their re-match.

Regardless, Roberts and Ortega continue to co-parent and Ortega continues to share insights from the times he spends as a father on social media. It bears a mention that he is a great father himself and it is hard to not connect this how great a relationship Ortega has with his father.

Martin Ortega, Brian’s father, has been his inspiration to become a fighter. As a family, they had to fight poverty but it was father Martin who instilled the fighting spirit in him. In an interview with Fighters Only Magazine, Brian said, “My dad dreamed of being a fighter himself, so he gets to live his life through me. It’s a pretty cool feeling. He was dreaming about being a boxer, but he was one of the baddest street fighters you’ll ever meet.”

In an episode of TUF featuring Brian Ortega, during The Ultimate Fighter season a couple of years back, Ortega revealed that he spends quality time with his kids who play a paramount role in his life. During the interview, Ortega said,

“I’m sure no one even knows I have kids until now. It was something that was just a private life, a happy life… These are my pride and joy, you know?”
