In the final UFC event of the year, Belal Muhammad managed to shut the UFC Apex silent as he defeated the fan-favorite Stephen ‘Wonderboy’ Thompson. Interestingly, after beating the #5 fighter, ‘Remember the Name’ has aimed for the stars. He called out welterweight champion and UFC #1 pound-for-pound fighter Kamaru Usman.

Meanwhile, another fan favorite- Khamzat Chimaev, thinks otherwise. Notably, ‘Borz’ took to social media to ridicule the winner of the co-main event at UFC Vegas 45. However, this time, Chimaev didn’t directly ask for a fight.

With a slight change in his strategy, ‘Borz’ took to Instagram to comment on a post detailing Muhammad’s win over ‘Wonderboy.’ The Swedish fighter wrote, “Who is this gay ? 🤣🤣🤣🤣”

If you have been following the UFC or MMA in general, then you know this is how a dispute starts, and then a fight gets set up. A fight with Belal Muhammad will certainly put Chimaev in the minds of the welterweight elites. To top it off, a win against someone from the elites club will definitely help ‘Borz’ to break into the top 10 and get to fight the best welterweights the world has to offer.

What a fight with Belal Muhammad means for Khamzat Chimaev?

This isn’t the first time that the Swedish fighter has called out top-ranked fighters from the division. Interestingly, he called out the #1 contender Colby Covington a few days ago. However, ‘Chaos’ turned down the offer, citing Chimaev’s inexperience with ranked fighters as the main reason.

Although Chimaev holds a brilliant resume that represents an undefeated 10 fight winning streak, most welterweight elites easily shrug him off because of the paltry amount of ranked fights. As of now, Chimaev has only fought one ranked opponent in his UFC career (Li Jingliang at UFC 267).

However, a fight and a possible win against Belal Muhammad can prove to be a game-changer, as his potential rivals won’t be able to dodge him anymore.
