Meet Kat Johnson, Youssef Zalal’s wife

Back in 2018, Youssef Zalal appeared on the ‘Comments From The Peanut Gallery’ podcast, where it was revealed that Zalal was married to Kat Johnson. She was the manager, event coordinator, and membership coordinator at Factory X, where Zalal also trained. She revealed during the podcast that she is Sicilian, but her family is from New York, New Jersey. However, it’s unclear whether Zalal and Johnson are still married because, in recent years, Zalal has been linked to fellow UFC fighter Maycee Barber.

While appearing in an interview with James Lynch last year in March, Zalal hinted that they might be dating. “You just ask her,” Zalal said when asked about a potential romantic relationship between them.

“We’re having a thing. She’s a great person… We’re having fun and really enjoying life, and that’s what I can say,” Zalal added. Interestingly, Barber used to train at Factory X gym as well. When asked whether they stayed in touch, Zalal claimed, “Well, not that much, but she kind of contacted me before her last fight and we kind of started talking.”

While it’s unclear who Zalal is dating right now, the question is, did he have any kids with Johnson?

About Youssef Zalal’s early life & background

‘The Moroccan Devil’ Zalal was born in Casablanca, Morocco, before moving to the US with his parents at 15. His family sought a better life, and it was his mother who first enrolled him in kickboxing classes to instill discipline and keep him out of trouble. Interestingly, she never wanted him to fight professionally, but Zalal quickly developed a passion for combat sports.

He later settled in Colorado and began competing on the regional MMA circuit, where his dynamic style and relentless pace earned him recognition. Most of his early fights took place under the Legacy Fighting Alliance (LFA) banner, where he compiled an impressive 7-2 record. The UFC star continues to represent his Moroccan heritage proudly inside the Octagon.
