The hugely anticipated show-down between Dan Ige and Byrce Mitchell came to an end as Mitchell dominated the octagon. With redemption in mind, after his loss against Ilia Topuria, Mitchell came in guns blazing despite a nasty cut over and under his eye. However, it was Mitchell’s day today as he clinched the victory through a unanimous decision. But his antics both inside and outside the cage have garnered a lot of attention from the fans, and it’s not all good.

Bryce Mitchell’s Tenacious Comeback Secures Unanimous Decision Victory

Mitchell’s aggressive stance clearly pushed the UFC veteran ’50K’ into a defensive position for most of the fight. This went as far as the timer saving Ige from a brutal TKO. In the first round, Ige landed a solid left hook on Mitchell and skillfully evaded Mitchell’s attempted takedown. But, Mitchell managed to secure a takedown later, briefly taking Ige’s back before landing in mount. He attempted an arm-triangle choke but ran out of time.

In the second round, Ige landed a powerful right hand, causing a cut above Mitchell’s right eye. Mitchell attempted several takedowns but failed, eventually, securing the top position and taking Ige’s back. He hunted for a submission but Ige defended well. Ige also landed considerable damage, and the round scored 10-9 in his favor, making it 19-19 overall.

Despite Mitchell’s damaged right eye, he made an incredible comeback by swiftly taking Ige’s back in a surprising scramble. Mitchell maintained control with a body triangle and transitioned to the mount position. Ige attempted to escape but was relentlessly pursued by Mitchell. A warning from the referee about cage grabbing didn’t deter Mitchell, who executed a massive slam and worked on a kimura. In the end, Mitchell secured a unanimous decision victory,
