Nickal suffered a thrashing defeat in the first round which was scored 4-0, and the second round was even more brutal after Taylor handed Nickal further disappointment as the score stood at 6-0. This defeat put an end to Nickal’s ambition to win an Olympic medal for his country. However, his career was just starting as his transition to MMA has been nothing but a successful endeavor for him. Moreover, Taylor later went on to clinch the gold medal at the 2020 Tokyo Olympics in the 86 kg class. So, a defeat against the best wrestler in his category isn’t something to be ashamed of!
