According to reports, McGregor once had the chance to dabble into the movie business as well. He had the chance to appear alongside Samuel L. Jackson and Vin Diesel in a sequel of the action movie series XXX.

McGregor got a chance to appear in the movie ‘XXX: Return of Xander Cage,’ but didn’t take up the opportunity as he had to focus on his upcoming fight with Nate Diaz. Other actors that starred in the movie were Ruby Rose, Deepika Padukone, and Donnie Yen.

When McGregor passed the opportunity, Vin Diesel didn’t waste time and hired former UFC champion, Michael Bisping, for the role instead. Bisping played the role of ‘Hawk’ in the movie.
The movie was released on the 20th of January, 2017, in the United States and made $346.1 million in box office sales.
What’s next for Conor McGregor?
Conor McGregor has been away from UFC action ever since his tragic loss to Dustin Poirier at UFC 264 last year. McGregor suffered a nasty leg break during his bout, which kept him from training and fighting until recovery.

After going through surgery and rehabilitation, Conor is back to fighting and training and aims to return to the octagon this year.

Conor will most likely take on one of his biggest rivals, Nate Diaz, on his return to the UFC. ‘The Notorious’ has taken on Diaz twice in the past and has won one fight and lost the other.

A trilogy fight would be the decider and will surely be a huge attraction for the fans, which the UFC will want. Diaz is currently on his last fight according to his contract and will look to have a huge payout before his UFC retirement.
