Now as Tate is all set to make a comeback to the UFC, many people were wondering what her situation with ONE is at present. Back in April 2021, Tate gave an interview in which she talked about the same. She said, “So as of right now, I am still a part of One Championship. But I did have to put in my 30-day notice. So I’m kind of wrapping that up with One Championship.”

“But I’m just really grateful that they have been so supportive, Chatri, the CEO and founder of One Championship. He understands what it means to be a mixed martial artist and that fires back and he is very supportive. Fully supportive of that. So I’m excited.”

‘Cupcake’ has always praised One Champion and in turn, the company has also always looked out for her. Therefore Tate talked about how it was a difficult decision to leave the company, but the desire to compete again was too much and as Tate was in contract with UFC, she had to leave ONE.

What to expect from Miesha Tate on her UFC comeback?

Miesha Tate is a former UFC’s women bantamweight champion and is one of the most accomplished UFC fighters of the era. However, Tate hasn’t competed in the last 4 years and might find it difficult to get into the zone as soon as she steps inside the Octagon.

However, Tate’s opponent Reneau is 44 years old and has lost her last 4 UFC fights. Therefore, even though ‘Cupcake’ is returning to action after more than 4 years, many believe she is the favorite going into the fight.

Tate is also very active on social media and posts regular uploads of her training regimes. Through her posts we can that ‘Cupcake’ seems really fit and ready to get back in the Octagon and win.
