Will Josh Emmett get the next title shot?

Both Emmett and Kattar looked phenomenal for the entire fight. The former’s impressive win over Kattar should put him in the top 5 of featherweight rankings. But will he get the next shot at the winner of Max Holloway and Alexander Volkanovski?

The UFC 276 bout is a trilogy between the two best UFC featherweights of all time. Since Volkanovski is the champion and has a 2-0 lead over Holloway, a close ‘Blessed’ win could mean these two square off against each other again.

A Volkanovski win would be ideal for Emmett to get the next shot at the featherweight title. Besides, there is a pivotal headliner between Brian Ortega and Yair Rodriguez that could prove to be a number one contender fight, depending upon the outcome. Even in that fight, Emmett would hope for ‘T-City’ to win, since he has already fought ‘The Great’.
