Khabib Nurmagomedov is well and truly over his UFC career. ‘The Eagle’ doesn’t plan to return to the Octagon to compete again. In fact, he is tired of being asked the same thing over and over again.

Fans and others involved with the sport have wanted to see Nurmagomedov back in the Octagon since he announced his decision to retire at UFC 254. After defeating Justin Gaethje at Fight Island, ‘The Eagle’ said he would like to spend more time with his family.

And having done it all in the sport, his decision was justified too. Especially considering he had lost his mentor and father Abdulmanap not so long ago.

I think these questions will always be relevant. But I wouldn’t wait for my comeback. You’d be waiting for a long time,” said the undefeated Dagestani.

The former champion was also asked if he would like to do an exhibition grappling event.

Not interested at all. Why do I need to grapple someone? I’m tired of, as they say, diving for sweaty legs. We grapple in training. Shamil knows, Khasbulaev knows. But to fight in an arena to prove, I don’t even know what to prove. Why do I need to come out? I’m not interested in self-affirmation or money,” he replied.
