Dana White is one of the most recognizable faces in the combat sports world. He is the president of the biggest and the most famous mixed martial arts promotion, UFC. White has an estimated net worth of $500 million right now.
White is one of the biggest examples of not having to go to college to be successful. He started college twice, once at Quincy College and once at the University of Massachusetts, Boston, but dropped out from both of them. According to him, his kids still give him a hard time when it comes to that.
In a recent interview, White was asked what was it about college that didn’t work out. He said, “My kids keep throwing that one in my face, saying, you didn’t go to college. Why do we need to go to college? I think the key to everything in life is knowing who you are and what you want to do. I was very lucky that I knew exactly what I wanted to do and where I wanted to be.”

Dana White‘s journey has been nothing short of incredible. He began as a bellboy, became a boxercise coach, and later went on to become the president of the UFC. He was born in Boston but left for Las Vegas after being threatened by a mobster. With the help of his friend Lorenzo Fertitta and his brother Frank Fertitta, he purchased the UFC.
After buying the promotion for $2 million, and initially struggling to generate revenue, they sold the company in 2016 for $4 billion. However, White is still the President, and he owns a significant part of the UFC now.
