Why Deiveson Figueiredo dyes his hair before fights

Deiveson Figueiredo is a fighter who is known and loved for his performances against some of the top flyweights in the promotion. With a record of 22-3-1, 17 wins coming by way of finishes,  Figueiredo holds true to his moniker of “God Of War”. His fight moniker is also the reason why he dyes his hair the way he does.

The Brazilian is known for rocking blond hair with a red streak on the side of his head. It seems obvious that he is paying homage to Kratos, the protagonist of one of the most popular games in the world, “God Of War”. Kratos in the video game has red tattoos all across his body with a red streak going through the left side of his face and head.

Kratos in the video game “God of War” is one of the most feared and violent warriors. Deiveson Figueiredo is someone who brings violence every time he steps inside the octagon, like Kratos when he kills gods.

Figueiredo talks about his matchup against Garbrandt

During a recent podcast interview with MMA Fighting’s Trocação Franca, Deiveson Figueiredo talked about his upcoming matchup against Cody Garbrandt. The former UFC flyweight champ claimed to believe that “No Love” is “mentally fragile” and believes that he is yet to make a comeback from the losses he suffered over the last 5 years.

In the interview, he stated, “Many fighters like the in-fight but crumble when a hand lands. You have to be a badass, you need a strong mind to come back again. I think I’ll affect his mind by touching him, and he’s going to respect me more… I really want the knockout in this fight.”
