‘Platinum’ Mike Perry has been on an absolute tear ever since he joined BKFC. The former UFC welterweight is undefeated in BKFC with wins over the likes of Julian Lane, Michael Page, and Luke Rockhold, and his most recent triumph was against Eddie Alvarez. But what is next for Perry?

After his impressive win against Eddie Alvarez, Mike Perry used his time on the microphone to make an iconic callout against some big names in the MMA world. Here’s what the “King of Violence” had to say:

‘Platinum’ Mike Perry in the post-fight interview stated, “Eddie Alvarez is a hell of a competitor. Who owns combat sports now? The King of Violence, Platinum Mike Perry. Conor McGregor would be a great matchup. Khabib aint coming over here. Darren Till said he doesn’t wanna do it with no gloves.” He concluded with a question that asked, “Who wants to fight Platinum Mike Perry with no gloves, bro?”

Perry called out some pretty big names in his post-fight interview— including the two biggest names in MMA, Khabib Nurmagomedov and Conor McGregor. However, with Nurmagomedov and McGregor not being a part of the BKFC roster, the call-out didn’t make much sense, especially with Nurmagomedov having retired from combat sports in general.

The fans were just as confused with the callout. Here are some of the comments from the post-fight interview.

“Conor might be down to do it tho”

“nah why Khabib bro? Like what?? Bro is out of MMA, this guy talks about bkfc wuttt”

“khabib can submit you in 10sec”

“Jake Paul would bring in da bank so dats my pick”

“Only Tony Ferguson and Michael Chandler”

“@luisbaboon wants to fight him and he is the pound for pound bare knuckle boxer in the company, perry just selling out smoke”

It even gained the attention of the no 1 ranked BKFC pound-for-pound fighter Luis Palomino. He commented, “lol, I’m in the organization and I been asking to fight you for 2 years @platinummikeperry. You don’t have to go looking for anyone. In here and I’m not going anvwhere. Or is it you don’t want to face the best bareknuckle boxer in the planet???”

Despite fans being surprised with the callouts, it’s not something unexpected. Because if we know Mike Perry, he has never played by the rule books. And his callout of McGregor might be due to McGregor and Perry having a face-off at BKFC 41.

After Mike Perry finished Luke Rockhold at BKFC 41, he called out McGregor for a face-off inside the ring. Both fighters showed respect to each other, and McGregor even praised the BKFC fighters who competed that night.

Even though the ‘Notorious’ is set to return to the Octagon mid-summer of 2024, he has expressed interest in seeing how his hands fare up in BKFC. Mike Perry seemed to respect McGregor and though both fighters had an intensity in their eyes, they exchanged kind words with each other.
