In an episode of Flagrant, Diaz spoke about the early days of the JRE. He mentioned that he least expected anyone to listen to the podcast. The comedian said, “Well, we were doing podcast at 9 on the road. Then it start like that, then we start the studio. We would do a comedy show, then go to the whole tower room and him and Brian would talk s*it…”

Diaz continued, “We do the show at night and then I am like ‘Why am I doing the show? Who the f*ck is at home at Friday, at midnight?, 13-year-old that’s who is home. Why the f*ck are we doing the show with Joe?… Let’s go smoke pots.’ That’s when he started doing the podcast.However, with time, the show became a huge success and began to stream on Spotify.

Rogan shares the reason behind the show’s success

In the #1951 episode of JRE, Rogan was talking to YouTuber Stephen Findeisen. During the conversation, Rogan talked about the success of his show. The 55-year-old believed that when individuals engage in activities they genuinely enjoy, it becomes evident to observers. He theorized that this inherent passion contributes to the appeal of many shows and ultimately leads to their success.
