In his decades-long career as a UFC commentator and stand-up comedian, Joe Rogan has amassed many bizarre and wild experiences. In one of his recent podcasts, Joe recalls one such experience encountered during one of his comedy shows. According to Joe, he was constantly being heckled by a man in the audience who was attending the show alongside his wife. UFC Hall of Famer and former Strikeforce Light Heavyweight champion, Dan Henderson was also present in the crowd. To stop the disturbance, Joe reportedly threatened the heckler with Dan Henderson pinning him down. To this, Henderson, who was listening to all this, came back with a wild response. Rogan said:

Dan Henderson is widely regarded as one of the most badass and successful fighters to ever embrace the sport of MMA. The former NCAA wrestler began his MMA career in 1997 and continued to participate in the highest level of the sport till his eventual retirement in 2016. Over his almost two-decade-long career, Dan amassed a record of 32 wins and 15 losses. He also won titles including Pride Middleweight Championship, Pride Welterweight Championship, RINGS King of Kings Tournament 1999, and Strikeforce Light Heavyweight Championship. Known for his signature ‘H-Bomb’, ‘Dangerous’ was included in the UFC Hall of Fame in 2023.

Joe Rogan thinks this MMA fighter is a future star

In another of his recent podcasts, Joe Rogan sat along with MMA legend Bas Rutten, to discuss the startup promotion Karate Combat. The promotion features Rutten as the commentator and aims to display full-contact Karate bouts in their purest form. Joe, who himself has been part of multiple high-level Karate bouts, looked enthusiastic about this venture. But amidst all this, Joe Rogan expressed his opinions on the rising welterweight prospect, Ian Garry.

According to the 55-year-old podcaster, the Irish fighter has a bright future in sports. He used Garry’s recent win over Daniel Rodriguez as a testimony of his potential. As of now, ‘the Future’ has amassed straight 12 wins in his MMA career, 5 of which are in UFC itself.  In one of his interviews, the Portmarnock native expressed his pride over being compared to his fellow Irishmen, Conor McGregor.
