With the active involvement of these prominent figures and the escalating interest among the masses, it becomes evident why the UFC head honcho is determined to bring this showdown under his promotion. It’s a move that makes perfect sense given the colossal attention it has garnered. However, according to a former UFC fighter’s interpretation, there remains a substantial risk that even if the fight is held under the UFC banner, the promotional frontman might end up with no financial gains at all.
Dana White wouldn’t profit off of Elon Musk vs. Mark Zuckerberg
During the recent episode of ‘WEIGHING IN’, hosted by veteran referee John McCarthy and retired MMA fighter Josh Thomson, the dynamic duo delved into the Musk vs. Zuckerberg speculation at length.
The former UFC star confidently expressed his thoughts on the fight’s potential success, declaring, “I think it would be the biggest. But I also think they’ll try to do something else to stream it on their platforms.”

Expanding on his point, the 44-year-old further added, “They got two of the platforms in the world. Why would you go to a pay-per-view when you could charge a pay-per-view on your own platform… Why would you do a pay-per-view with UFC when you could do it on Instagram and on Twitter. And just push it out that way and you could by it on their own platforms.”
He went on to comment on Dana White’s potential role in the event, saying, “Whether you wanna have Dana White taking care of the promotional part of it- Not like building it up. But then, the cage, the arena and be the guy that puts together all the little sh*t and just see if you want to slap UFC on it… Obviously sponsored by f**king Twitter and Facebook.”
