Throughout his illustrious 14-year MMA career, Dustin Poirier has built an impressive resume for himself and has dominated the cage of UFC. He has defeated some of the most ferocious fighters, including his arch-rival Conor McGregor, Justin Gaethje, Michael Chandler, and many more. However, recently, a rather unseen side of him has come to light.

During his wife Jolie Poirier‘s birthday vacation, she shared some moments with her husband where he appeared visibly scared in the pictures. This amusing moment was pointed out by former UFC champion and analyst Daniel Cormier, along with fans who were left in splits upon seeing this side of the ‘Diamond’. Despite being a fierce competitor in the ring, it seems that Poirier‘s fearlessness doesn’t extend to the outside world, as he appeared rather timid in the pictures.

Fans like a glimpse of ‘scared’ Dustin Poirier

Dustin Poirier and his wife Jolie Poirier recently took a trip to the Bahamas to celebrate her 34th birthday. Jolie shared some of the moments from her birthday vacation, including a picture featuring a pig on the beach that apparently startled the former Interim UFC Lightweight Champion. The picture served up some laughs to former UFC champion and analyst Daniel Cormier, along with Poirier‘s fans.

Despite being startled by a pig, the 34-year-old UFC fighter never backs down when it comes to protecting his family. And a heckler recently experienced that first-hand as he crossed a line with Dustin Poirier‘s wife.

Heckler learns his lesson from the ‘Diamond’

During a Mardi Gras parade in Youngsville, Louisiana, Dustin Poirier was confronted by a man who held up a sign referencing a comment Conor McGregor made about his wife during their trilogy fight. ‘Diamond’ noticed the sign and leaned towards the person holding it. He extended his hand, then pulled it back quickly, as if he wanted to hit him.

In response, the fan raised his middle finger, which made Poirier even angrier. He attempted to halt the car and escalate the argument, but it was avoided. It’s clear that Poirier doesn’t take anyone disrespecting his family lightly, and he’s willing to stand up for them no matter what.

On the professional front, ‘Diamond’ last stepped into the octagon in November of last year against Michael Chandler and came out victorious. However, he later found himself fighting off a staph infection in his leg. But, he’s now back to full strength and ready for whatever comes next. As for his next fight, there’s been no official announcement yet, but we can be sure that he’ll be ready to go whenever the opportunity arises.
