When it comes to combat sports, there’s hardly anyone who can make an entrance like the former dual-weight champion of the world, Conor McGregor. ‘Mystic Mac’ BKFC 5 press conference in Philadelphia was nothing less than an absolute cinema. McGregor, became a part owner of BKFC last year and since then he has been a monumental part of the promotion, and he knows how to promote his fighters better than anyone.

At the BKFC press conference in Philadelphia, it started without Conor McGregor, as he was late. The event went on for an hour beyond the scheduled time. Just as everything was about to conclude, “Mystic Mac” stepped into the arena and apologized to everyone in his own unique fashion, “Sorry I’m late. I don’t give a f–k,” said McGregor as he started briefing the media about the amazing BKFC clash.

He further added, “I’m the big boss around here. Philadelphia, what’s up? I’m here to summon the Gods of fighting to action. May they turn our combatants’ knuckles into knives. On Saturday night, may we all bleed in honor of Philadelphia’s rich fighting history. May we as Bare Knuckle Fighting Championships organization, the alien of combat sports, rise above the night sky and rain down blows viciously and prove our worth against any deniers.”

It was a surreal moment for the Philadelphia audience as Conor McGregor announced fights as an actual promoter. It became clear that the former UFC champ is fully embracing his responsibilities as a promoter. Days after his initial media briefing, Conor McGregor uploaded his media video on his Instagram handle and captioned it, “you call it iconic, I call it Tuesday.”

Well, according to ‘Notorious’, the UFC might not be interested in his clash with Logan Paul.

Conor McGregor blames UFC for his Logan Paul fight fiasco

Last year, Conor McGregor announced that he would clash against Logan Paul in India, however, neither Paul nor McGregor gave any further clarification on this topic. The Youtuber-turned-boxer even came forward to assert that he would only focus on his WWE career for now. Interestingly, the Paul brothers and McGregor even share a moment of friendship with one another en route to Donald Trump’s swearing-in ceremony. All of this concludes one thing and that’s the fact that McGregor might not fight Paul in India.

While having a conversation with ‘The Schmo’, Conor McGregor emphasized that they agreed to fight, however, the UFC was reluctant to make that happen because it would mean a breach of contract as ‘Notorious’ has two more fights under the UFC, “You know, it is what it is. The UFC just isn’t into it. I had the offer; it was there on the table in writing. Both athletes will say, “He’s not a fighter,” but whatever. Both athletes are under the TKO banner—UFC and WWE—both rising up. You know, the stock price of TKO Holding Group is through the roof.”

He further added, “A new market in India has opened up and is booming. It was business-savvy and made business sense to make the fight happen—or should I say, the glorified spar happen. And in between this wait, this waiting period, the UFC is not into it. I’m not sure about WWE, what their interest is in it. I just know the UFC weren’t into it.”

Does this mean that Conor McGregor has no option but to fight under Dana White? Well, only time will have that answer. Regardless, what’s your take on the situation? State your thoughts in the comments below.
