The saga between Dana White and Mark Hunt has taken a new turn! The former UFC heavyweight star and PRIDE FC legend has been at odds with the promotion and the boss since 2017. Hunt’s campaign against the promotion stemmed from his UFC 200 loss against Brock Lesnar, which was later overturned into a no-contest because of Lesnar testing positive for banned substances. As such, Hunt filed a lawsuit against the UFC which alleged that the executives, including Dana White, were aware of Lesnar’s PED usage but didn’t ban him from competing against Hunt.

The suit also included multiple allegations of fraud, racketeering, breach of contract, and fraud, amongst others. But in 2023, the lawsuit was dismissed with ‘The Super Samoan’ being ordered to pay hefty legal fees for the promotion. However, in a recent post on social media, Hunt has slammed White and claimed that he is now seeking to resolve his case through another method.

Mark Hunt’s battle with the UFC and CEO Dana White has been ongoing since 2017, and while the legal proceedings were dismissed in favor of the promotion in 2023, Hunt hasn’t given up just yet. In a recent post on X, he shared a picture of Ryan Garcia and Devin Haney’s payouts for their recent boxing match.

The $85 M total figure indicated in the post was the catalyst behind Hunt’s latest salvo against White as he stated, “This is why u will be fired…” It’s important to note that the UFC was recently involved in anti-trust lawsuits that were put forth by former fighters who alleged that fighter pay was significantly less in the promotion and that the promotion was engaged in illegal anti-competitive action to maintain its monopoly over MMA.

However, TKO Group, the parent company of the promotion, settled the lawsuit for $335 million. But despite his previous lawsuit ending badly, Hunt is apparently seeking a different approach this time around. According to information available online, Hunt’s legal request argues for the unsealing based on Lesnar’s involvement in a previous scandal, disclosures from the related anti-trust case, and what he perceives as years of defamation by Dana White and online trolls.

As the saga continues, Hunt also made a cryptic post about Dana White on Instagram recently that has now received more context with the update about the request for unsealing documents.

Mark Hunt shared an image of Dana White on his Instagram on 25 April. While the cryptic nature of the caption had caused much conversation, it now appears that Hunt was referring to May 8 as “problems coming” for White due to it being the day of the unsealing as mentioned above.
