Is Holly Holm‘s reputation in the UFC crumbling? Recently, Holm faced a pathetic loss against Mayra Beuno Silva at the UFC on ESPN 49. Beuno Silva defeated Holm by spectacular submission just 38 seconds into the second round. When the bout reached the second round, Holm tried to get closer to her opponent for a takedown attempt. The 41-year-old went forward with her plan while ‘Sheetara’ made an unexpected move. The Brazilian fighter latched onto the neck of ‘The Preacher’s daughter’. She continued to strengthen the hold she has on Holm’s neck, and after a point, Holm could not take it any longer and ended up tapping out of the bout.

Holm’s terrible loss against the Brazilian fighter was something that the MMA community least expected. She became a favorite of fight fans after she won a stunning knockout victory against Ronda Rousey at UFC 193 in 2015. Presently, fans have begun to question her achievements as a UFC fighter, as her MMA records are hardly impressive to them.

Holly Holm turned a lot of eyes towards her when she won against Ronda Rousey, who was then reigning as the bantamweight champion. ‘The Preacher’s Daughter’ dominated the entire bout and was able to overcome the takedowns from ‘Rowdy.’ The second-round head kick from Holm put an end to Rousey’s undefeated record. However, in the later part of her fighting career, Holm disappointed the fans with some losses. Her UFC record is 5-7 since defeating Rousey, which made the fans raise their eyebrows.

Let’s check out how fans reacted to Holm’s MMA record after her recent loss

A fan compared her disappointing MMA record (15-7) with the number of title shots she received in the UFC.

And like 4 title shots right?”

Another fan pointed out the bad condition of WMMA.

“I mean, is it that different than Colby and Stipe getting title shots?”

“They’re gonna put her in the Hall of Fame, aren’t they? WMMA is so awful.”

Another fan wondered why Holm is still on the UFC roster.

“Idk how she hasn’t been released yet smh”

One of the netizens pointed out that Holm’s boxing skills are never evident in her MMA fights.

“You straight up would not think she has a background in boxing if you saw her fight in MMA”
