Conor McGregor is a name that has become synonymous with the UFC. Not only did the Irishman rejuvenate the promotion, but he also gave a new sense of direction to the entire combat sports fraternity with his enchanting persona.

Remarkably, back in 2016, McGregor was able to set a new benchmark for UFC fighters such as Amanda Nunes, Daniel Cormier, and Henry Cejudo with two golden straps clinging to his shoulders. He had achieved the same feat back in Cage Warriors as well.

On Friday, ‘The Notorious’ reacted to an infographic of his 2021 per minute earnings in comparison to other premier athletes. Conor McGregor captioned the post, “Wow! $8.6m a minute in 2021.”

While soccer stars such as Cristiano Ronaldo and Neymar Jr. could mint tens of thousands of dollars in a minute, Tom Brady of the NFL made $37k per minute. Meanwhile, ace pugilist Canelo was able to take $444 thousand to the bank. However, McGregor’s earnings dwarfed them all.

Conor McGregor predicts the future to Cristiano Ronaldo

Not long ago, former double-division champion Conor McGregor met Portuguese forward, Cristiano Ronaldo. In the garb of his signature attitude, ‘The Notorious’ made a prediction in front of the multi-millionaire soccer star.

“You were number one on the Forbes list, I was like number 35 or something. I’ll get up. Maybe next year I’ll get you…” Conor McGregor told Ronaldo.

Ronaldo didn’t know where all this was coming from and rejected the Irishman’s ambitions. “I don’t think so,” Ronaldo told McGregor.

Fair enough, McGregor put his money where his mouth was, literally, as the MMA striker topped Forbes’s list of the highest-paid athletes in 2020.
