The Brazilian-American UFC star, Edson Barboza, will look to return to UFC action after suffering his second loss in the featherweight division. In his last fight, Barboza lost to Giga Chikadze last year at UFC Vegas 35.

Barboza was one of the top fighters during his prime days in the UFC’s lightweight division. ‘Junior’ holds remarkable wins over Dan Hooker, Anthony Pettis, and Beneil Dariush.

We will most likely see Edson Barboza take on the undefeated featherweight prospect, Bryce Mitchell, next. According to a recent tweet from Mitchell, the fight will go down at UFC 272, on March 5th, 2022.

Mitchell wrote on Twitter: “We gettin Nasty March 5th.” Along with the tweet, he also posted a picture of Edson Barboza and himself.

Bryce Mitchell currently holds an impressive professional record of 14 wins and no losses. His impending fight against Edson Barboza will be one of the biggest fights of his career so far.

Mitchell is an excellent grappler and is also a decently equipped striker. Out of the 14 wins in his career, nine of his wins have been via submission.

‘Junior’ is far more advanced in his striking ability and is one of the best kickers in the UFC. His Muay Thai & Kickboxing skills come into play, which makes him extremely dangerous on his feet. However, Barboza isn’t the best when the fights go on the mat.
