The UFC released a hype preview trailer for the featherweight bout that has fans extremely excited’ The ‘Come Get it’ trailer captures the fiery passion for combat that both fighters possess in a massive way. Moreover, with a potential title shot on the table, there’s plenty to fight for when both men finally square off.

What’s more, there’s plenty of marquee match-ups all through the card that makes it a compelling viewing experience for fans. The fight card also sees ‘2020 KO of the Year’ winner Joaquin Buckley and the return of Santiago Ponzinibbio. The Argentinian welterweight has been out of commission for a long time, and he’s back to claim his spot.

UFC Fight Night: Holloway vs Kattar makes history

Apart from the stacked fight card, there’s plenty to look forward to come January 16, 2021, from a historical standpoint. The event is will be the very first to air on National Television and will expose a new audience to MMA. ABC network will air UFC Fight Island 7 and it is truly a momentous occasion for the company.

ABC comes in as one of the four big networks in the U.S. and shares a parent company, Walt Disney Television, with UFC broadcast partner ESPN. Chiefly, ABC has been the home of some of the biggest boxing events in history, and MMA will now enjoy similar exposure.

The aforementioned fight card is just the beginning of a jam-packed week of fights that culminates with UFC 257. Conor McGregor and Dustin Poirier will rematch after several years.
