UFC 270 continued to offer thrilling finishes to MMA fans as another main card fight ended with a finish. Said Nurmagomedov finished ‘The Spartan’ Cody Stamann in under 47 seconds. This came after intense action where both bantamweight fighters were violent and fans were on the edge of their seats.

Although fans speculated the Dagestani would end up as the winner, no one expected such an astounding performance from Nurmagomedov. The Russian bantamweight got to work as soon as the bell rang and started unloading on Stamann with beautiful strikes.

A combination of spinning back fist followed by a heavy body kick was enough to wobble ‘The Spartan’. As soon as Nurmagomedov (15-2) found an opening, he went for the finish. The Russian put Stamann in a standing guillotine choke, which later went to the ground.

Apart from the incredible finish, the fluid strikes of Said Nurmagomedov were something to gaze upon for the MMA fanatics.

Which other UFC 270 fights ended in finishes? 

The first UFC pay-per-view event of 2022 is in full swing. Said Nurmagomedov secured the fifth finish of the night and second on the main card. On the main card opener, 22-year-old Michael Morales wrapped things up against ‘The Problem’ Trevin Giles with an opening-round TKO.

Although Giles was able to sting Morales early in the opener, it wasn’t enough to take out the Ecuadorian who came back stronger and stopped ‘The Problem’.

Meanwhile, on the preliminary card, Aussie UFC debutant Jack Della Maddalena finished Pete Rodriguez in the first round as well. The Aussie bloodied ‘Dead Game’ early and then went on to finish him with a right.
