Stephen Thompson isn’t a new name for a fight fan that has been following the UFC for a few years. The ‘Wonderboy’ has put up some wonderful performances during his prime days and has beaten some of the best welterweights in the UFC. Some of these fighters include Jorge Masvidal, Rory MacDonald, and Vicente Luque.

As of December 15th, 2021, the fighter stands fifth in the UFC’s welterweight rankings. Apart from being an established mixed martial artist and an iconic kick-boxer, Thompson is also a model. Recently, the ‘Wonderboy’ opened up a new door for himself and announced his acting debut.

Cobra Kai is a Netflix series about a Karate and martial arts tournament and the lives of the characters who participate in it. The show is a sequel to the original movies of The Karate Kid by Robert Mark Kamen.

Another UFC fighter that will star in the second season of Cobra Kai, along with Stephen Thompson, is his former opponent, Tyron Woodley. Thompson and Woodley fought each other at UFC 205, where the fight was a draw, and at UFC 209, where Woodley won.

It seems like there is no bad blood between them and they both will act on the TV show alongside each other.

Even though this is Stephen Thompson’s acting debut, Tyron Woodley isn’t new to the entertainment industry. Woodley has acted in many movies such as Straight Outta Compton, Kickboxer: Vengeance, and the Bollywood film, Sultan.
