Jiri Prochazka is one of the best fighters in the light heavyweight division of the UFC. Currently, Prochazka is on a two-fight win streak in the promotion and has victories over Volkan Oezdemir and Dominick Reyes. The Czech fighter continues his way to the top as he prepares for a potential title shot against the champion, Glover Teixeira. Here’s a glimpse of how he is preparing for the fight.
As of December 2021, ‘Denisa’ is #2 in his division, and with former champion Jan Blachowicz ready to take on #3 Alexander Rakic, it is pretty clear that ‘Denisa’ will take on the 42-year-old champion. However, Prochazka doesn’t want to repeat the mistakes that Blachowicz did.

In the video, Prochazka can be seen practicing his punches on a tree numerous times. The drill might be a little unorthodox and dangerous, but maybe this is what it takes to maintain a 28-3-1 record with 12 consecutive victories.
Can Jiri Prochazka become the new champion?
Jiri Prochazka has one of the most remarkable resumes in the entire UFC. Not only has he started his UFC career with two straight wins, but the challenger also boasts of a victory streak that only a few can maintain. Interestingly, the former Rizin FF champion has been undefeated since 2015.

Talking about a fight with Texeira, the #2 contender has also stated that he doesn’t want to commit the same mistakes that the former champ committed. Prochazka is in no mood to underestimate the champ, Glover Teixeira. All of his actions show that not only is ‘Denisa’ strong enough to take on the Brazilian, but he also has the brains for it as well.
Therefore, a fight between Prochazka and Teixeira will certainly be interesting.
