MMA fans are well familiar with UFC bantamweight Sean O’Malley‘s unusual fashion choices and his penchant for staying in the spotlight outside of the sport. Bringing both these elements of his personality together, ‘Suga’ has quite outdone himself yet again. At least that is what fans of the bantamweight felt after he responded to rapper Cardi B in one of her latest tweets.
In a tweet expressing her desire to style other celebrities, which evidently saw thousands of people respond to, O’Malley too threw his name in the hat. Although quite surprising in itself, considering his personality and fashion choices, fans would probably agree that the idea of Cardi B working with the UFC fighter doesn’t sound too bad. Quite a few netizens on Twitter felt the same, but of course, there were some who found it to be a hysterical idea.

Sean O’Malley responds to Cardi B’s tweet on styling other celebs as fans react
The number one-ranked bantamweight with just a single-word response to Cardi B’s tweet left his fans in a frenzy.
Hi
— Sean O'Malley (@SugaSeanMMA) February 10, 2023
But the reactions to his tweet were out of the ordinary, as many claimed it was a great idea, while some attacked Cardi B over her controversial actions in the past
One of the first reactions was of a fan who gave a description of what O’Malley would look like if the rapper went ahead with his proposition.
Sean is about to have 5 inch nails and those little forehead hair swirls

Another fan expressed it might be a good idea, considering ‘Suga’ is known for styling himself before his press conferences and fights.
I actually like this. @iamcardib styling @SugaSeanMMA for his next Fight Week? Pressers, Weigh-ins, Arena Arrival? LETS GO!

On the other hand, a couple of fans felt it was a bad idea, pointing out that he was a fighter and not a celebrity.
you not a celeb you a fighter brother💪

WTF SEAN, YOU IS FOOKING FIGHTER

Another individual had a funny response, calling the fighter ‘thirsty’

Someone eventually pointed out to Cardi B’s controversial past.
Imagine O'Malley goes to cardi b for styling and cardi hands her a drink as he sits down on the stool only to wake a day later and realised his kidney has been harvested and his phone and necklace are missing
— Absconded Llama (@abscondedllama) February 10, 2023
Ultimately, there was definitely no lack of fans who approved of the idea.
Suga x Cardi omg please 🔥🔥🔥

Thus, the MMA world was surprised by the fighter’s unexpected response to Cardi B.
Fight news around O’Malley
Apart from dabbling in things outside of the sport, Sean O’Malley was recently in the news after an update of his 8-fight contract with the UFC came to light. The Bantamweight surprisingly negotiated the contract with the promotion without any manager beside him. Although he claims he did ask for PPV points without being a champion, the UFC reportedly denied him that request. Despite not disclosing the figures involved with this new contract, O’Malley did express that he was content with the deal.

The 28-year-old is coming off a split-decision victory over former champ Petr Yan and is expected to fight for the bantamweight strap in the near future. Despite the last win coming in controversial fashion, many believe that the Arizona-based fighter has proved that he belonged in the upper echelons of the division.

Ultimately, even without a fight, O’Malley has clearly shown that he has all the aspects of a star. And although he might not end up getting styled by Cardi B, the 28-year-old clearly has a unique style that makes him stand out among other fighters.
