UFC commentator Joe Rogan spoke to Former Strikeforce Champion Ronda Rousey about the importance of proper testing in MMA tournaments. In an old podcast episode, the host compared USADA’s methods and found them to be much more effective. Because previously, fighters had a sure-proof method to avoid getting caught in their tests. But, since Jeff Novitzky and USADA took over, it became harder for the cheaters.

Joe Rogan noticed physical changes in athletes after USADA started testing
In episode #690, Rogan hosted Ronda Rousey and Edmond Tarverdyan. The JRE host proved his theory and mentioned how UFC fighters changed. Their bodies looked different before and after the USADA enforced their strict tests. This change possibly occurred due to a lack of performance-enhancement dr*gs.

Their rematch was supposed to happen, but Vitor Belfort displayed elevated testosterone levels at a USADA test. And their second fight got canceled. Furthermore, Belfort displayed significant body changes after the tests.
The UFC commentator trusted the USADA policy
The Former fear factor host shared how easier it was for fighters to pass their tests. But, it all ceased after the USADA arrived in 2015.
Joe Rogan believed in 2015 that USADA, with Senior Vice President of Athlete Health and Performance for the UFC Jeff Novitzky, was formidable. Novitzky had absolute authority and demanded fair testing for all athletes.
“This Jeff Novitzky guy is not f*cking playing games!”
“And the testing that they’re implementing on these athletes is no joke.”
But, due to this drastic measure, some athletes started to fall apart and look much different.
