Max Holloway never fails to disappoint fight fans when he steps in the octagon. “The blessed” is undoubtedly one of the most entertaining and skilled fighters in the sport of MMA right now. Holloway has been an integral part of the UFC and is also a future Hall of Famer. During his heyday, Holloway has put up some of the most spectacular fights that the UFC has hosted. Holloway became the first-ever fighter to land over 3,000 total strikes. He is also the only fighter in UFC history to have at least 25 fights and never get knocked down.
This weekend at UFC Fight Night: Holloway vs Rodriguez or UFC Vegas 42, Max Holloway put up another spectacular performance for the audience. Max Holloway took on the median fight Yair Rodríguez in a five-round bout. ‘The Blessed’ won the fight by a unanimous decision. Both fighters put on an excellent display of skill, but in the bargain, they also ate their fair share of damage.
After the fight, Holloway went and paid his respect to Rodriguez who was in the ambulance following the damage he took during the fight.

Both the fighters won a $500,00 bonus after putting on the spectacular fight. The UFC gave awarded both fighters with the ‘Fight of the Night’ prize. Many believe that this fight could win the honors of ‘Fight of the Year’ as well. The fighters were taken to the hospital for precautionary reasons.

What’s next for Max Holloway
Following his recent win over Yair Rodriguez and considering the performance he put up in the octagon, we can expect to see Max Holloway fight for the title next. Max is also the current number one contender in the UFC’s featherweight division rankings. Holloway lost his featherweight championship belt to the current champion, Alexander Volkanovski, at UFC 245.
