Following his lightning-quick knockout victory over Gavin Tucker, UFC featherweight Dan Ige spoke to ESPN MMA’s Marc Raimondi. In the interview, the 145 lbs fighter was asked about his future and what’s next for him.
Ige commented that the future is bright and claimed that he is still looking to improve his game even further. ’50K said, “I mentioned fighting the Korean Zombie and that I something about that fight you know no disrespect at all to Korean Zombie is a legend but that’s the fight.
I am no matchmaker but that’s a hell of a fight you put us on a poster that’s just a killer fight that’s a great fight for the fans, it’s a great fight for the company.”

Chan Sung Jung is coming off a loss in his last fight. He got dominated by Brian Ortega for five straight rounds.
Ige feels ‘The Korean Zombie’ has had his time and now it’s his time. ’50K’ is looking to follow up his sensational display at the Apex by adding a huge win to his resume. Stopping a tough fighter in ‘The Korean Zombie’ will do the trick.

Dan Ige feels he can take a shot just like Chan Sung Jung
Dan Ige called himself a ‘Zombie’ as well as he feels his fighting style is similar and can take a shot. ’50K’said, “If you just look at our two styles like you can call me a Zombie as well. Like I have never been finished, I go in there like I can take a shot if I need to. I am not proud of that, but I can take a shot if I need to and he’s got a hell of a chin. So that’s a fight of the night guarantee.”

Ige looks interested in fighting ‘The Korean Zombie’ and MMA fans may be very interested in seeing this potential ‘Fight of the Night’ fight unfold. It remains to be seen if the matchmakers are thinking along the same lines as well.
