Prior to the night of fights taking the centre stage this weekend, fans once again saw a popular hip-hop artist making news. Apparently, popular rapper Drake has once again placed a bet on the Charles ‘Do Bronx’ Oliveria vs Justin Gaethje.
The famous rapper recently bet a whopping $400k and above on Gaethje to walk out as the undisputed lightweight champion. Sadly, this prediction failed to live up as Oliveria walked away with an impressive first-round submission via rear-naked choke.

UFC star Conor McGregor made a plea to the rapper to pull the massive sum out of the pot prior to the showdown. A video of the mixed martial artist breaking down the fight surfaced on the internet, where he pleaded with Drake to rescind that bet.

He said: ” There is no way unless your boy shuts him, I just don’t see it, Charles Oliveira is way too composed. You know what I mean, yeah there’s no way.” He continued,” Na na na drake broo, drake you bet 400 grand on a bet. But you can definitely, you can definitely rescind that bet”

UFC 274’s main event produced a result that proved McGregor’s prediction correct, as Gaethje failed to capitalize on the knockdowns. The mixed martial artist is better known for his ‘Highlight’ reel, KOs, but sadly lost the fight via submission.

The opening phases of the first round saw the American land 2 nifty strikes forcing the Brazilian to the mat. He soon followed up with an iconic call out to face the ‘Notorious’ later down the line.
He said, “I’m the problem for the entire division… This is my title.” He added, “Hey Dana White, I don’t care, put anybody in front of me, I don’t choose. Hey Conor McGregor, are you stepping up or running away?”
