The MMA world would never want to miss a good fight. Seeing Amanda Nunes and Cris Cyborg clash was a huge fight. Similarly, fans want to see Kayla Harrison and Nunes fight as well. A while back, it seemed like a possibility. However, after Nunes’ loss against Julianna Pena, the chances of it happening seem slim.

Dana White is interested in a second bout between Nunes and Pena. As a result, many thought that Harrison would have a difficult time getting an offer from the promotion. Harrison has clarified that Nunes’ loss has nothing to do with her future decisions. But since the UFC wants a rematch between Pena and Nunes, Harrison does not wish to wait longer.

Speaking about offers she got from UFC and Bellator MMA, Harrison said, “I think really that this point, I got the offer from the UFC. I know what it is, I think timing-wise just because certain things that are going to happen with Amanda and Julianna… Timing is kind of everything in this sport.”

“So PFL is definitely the front runner. Bellator, again we had spoken to, I don’t know the exact details of what was said between Ali and them. But I know what I had proposed. So it doesn’t look like that’s gonna…”

When asked specifically about UFC’s offer, she kept her answer short and didn’t reveal much about it. She said, “It was a good starting offer.”

Harrison further revealed that any contract she signs will be short. She said, “Anything I sign with any promotion will be very very short contracts. … You can’t buy my soul.”

While fans might not get to see Harrison versus Nunes soon, the fighter hopes to face ‘The Lioness’ in the future.

From Harrison’s comments, it looks like there is a good possibility of her signing with PFL soon. The benefits there are great, after all. Further, she has already won two seasons at the promotion. Thus, she would surely have some more stunning fights there.

Fans might have to wait and see where Harrison finally ends up. UFC and Bellator MMA have some really tough opponents for her. But as Harrison mentioned, the timing needs to be right!
