“You Can’t Just Have a One-Person Booth”- Dominick Cruz Puts an End to the Daniel Cormier Controversy

After his exciting win against Pedro Munhoz last night, Dominick Cruz headed to a press conference to talk about his experience in and out of the ring. The post-fight event had the ‘Dominator’ touch upon a lot of topics, including his hotly brewing controversy with former UFC fighter and commentator Daniel Cormier. However, the former two-time Bantamweight champion resolved the controversy graciously.
‘Dominator’ originally told a reporter that he mutes Cormier’s commentary while watching UFC events, as the double champion doesn’t do his homework before engaging in the commentary.
During the conference, UFC legend Dominick Cruz took on a question regarding Cormier, asking him if he actually mutes Daniel Cormier’s commentary in UFC fights or was he just taking a jab at the fellow commentator which indeed got blown out of proportion. To which he said, “So, I didn’t eat or drink when you guys are asking me questions for like four days, three days, you know.”

“But the truth is like I love Daniel Cormier, he’s my brother. I work with him. I work alongside him. We are a team. He says I am dry. I say I add a lot of seasoning. You know, but I need him in order to be successful in that job. You can’t just have a one-person booth.” He said. “I need him. I need Joe Rogan. I need Michael Bisping. I need Felder; I need all of them. So, if you make a headline, make sure you say ‘Dominick Cruz needs the whole team.“
With this statement, the former bantamweight champion concluded their argument as both of them work together and each of them has quirks that don’t go down well with the other.
