UFC announced that women’s bantamweight champion Julianna Peña and UFC women’s featherweight champion Amanda Nunes will serve as coaches for The Ultimate Fighter 30. ESPN broke the news, and the UFC confirmed it later. However, fans are not too pleased with the announcement as they wanted some other duo to headline the season.

Jorge Masvidal and Colby Covington were the frontrunners, but Michael Chandler‘s and Tony Ferguson‘s names also got thrown a lot as well.

“You could’ve had Colby and Jorge and you pick this?” wrote a fan. This fan’s post had an awkward photo of Dana White.

“They bring back TUF just to kill it right away,” a fan said.

“Do they understand just how low the viewing numbers are going to be for this..? No one wants to watch this sh*t,” said a disgruntled fan on Twitter.

“BIGGEST L OF 2022 so far 🤦🏻‍♂️,” a disappointed fan said.

“So exciting,” a fan wrote sarcastically with a picture of Charles Oliveira.

“You guys missed out on Masvidal and Covington once again. Or Ferguson vs Chandler,” a fan wrote.

At UFC 269, ‘The Venezuelan Vixen’ battled Nunes in the co-main event for the women’s bantamweight title. Here, Peña shocked the world with an upset victory over ‘The Lioness’ and handed the Brazilian her first defeat since 2014.
