Nick Diaz’s return to UFC was a piece of great news for his fans. After six years, spectators got to see the older Diaz brother fight in the octagon once again. At UFC 266, Diaz faced Robbie Lawler. However, Diaz lost the bout through a TKO.
However, fans weren’t disappointed considering it was his first fight in a very long time. Now, retired UFC star Chael Sonnen has some news about Diaz.
While people are curious to know which fighter Diaz will next fight, Sonnen has come up with a probable contender. In a new video on his YouTube channel, Sonnen discussed Nick Diaz’s future as a UFC fighter.

He said, “You guys might have heard this by now, but I just got it. It was Nick Diaz versus Kevin Holland.”
Sonnen likes this matchup. He said, “I like it. Why not? A little bit, a little bit surprised by it. Only because Nick Diaz is such a megastar. But what do you do with Nick Diaz? Nick Diaz, at all times, is one win away from being in a main event. At all times! He was last time when he fought Robbie Lawler.”
Sonnen feels that Holland’s wrestling isn’t that great. However, the fighter has been working on it. Speaking about Holland, he said, “Kevin is going to change weight classes and go down to 170 pounds, so we’ve been told. Is that good for Nick or bad? In all fairness, don’t forget. Nick, who you believe is a 170 pounder, did his last fight at 185. So does it overly matter?”

“Now you got two guys that think they’re 70 pounders that are willing to go 85. Maybe that solves a problem.”
