“You Have No Choice” – UFC World Goes Berserk as Shavkat Rakhmonov Calls Out Colby Covington After “Strangling” Geoff Neal to Sleep at UFC 285

Shavkat Rakhmonov put the welterweight division on notice after choking out Geoff Neal at UFC 285. Rakhmonov and Neal battled it out on the main card at the T-Mobile Arena. With this win, Rakhmonov has advanced his pro record to 17-0. He is also currently 5-0 in the UFC.

The ‘Nomad’ came into the fight as the heavy favorite with a stellar 16-0 record. 15-4 Geoff Neal was riding a two-fight win streak although he lost three out of his last five.

Fans react to Neal vs. Rakhmonov at UFC 285

Rakhmonov and Neal exchanged leather from the starting bell. Both fighters had their moments as they hurt each other and matched out evenly on the feet, Neal even had the heavy favorite hurt at times. However, the ‘Nomad’ rode through adversity to get his hand raised in the end.

Forever on the hunt for a finish, Rakhmonov finally got his opportunity after sinking in an ingenious standing rear naked choke in the dying minutes of the last round. A battered Geoff Neal had no choice but to submit to the Uzbekistan-based welterweight.

Rakhmonov established himself as a solid contended with that win and earned several commendations from fans and pros.

During his octagon interview, Rakhmonov called out Colby Covington. If not, the 17-0 welterweight wants a title shot. “You have no choice,” said Daniel Cormier after Rakhmonov’s callout. His words will prove to be true if Rakhmonov continues to make himself inevitable in the division.
