Conor McGregor, former UFC two-weight champion, is well known for his vocal prowess in the combat sports community in addition to his exceptional fighting abilities. And five years ago, Logan Paul’s current business partner and former arch-enemy KSI got the taste of it during their interaction.

Just a few days before becoming the first UFC dual weight champion in 2016, ‘The Notorious’ collaborated with well-known YouTuber KSI to promote the video game EA Sports UFC 2.

Their video was later posted on KSI’s YouTube channel with ‘Fighting Conor McGregor’ in the title. The two played a few video game bouts and talked about them, as shown in the footage. During a conversational pause, ‘The Notorious’ made a subtle jab at the British YouTuber.

You just play games all day long?” McGregor said. KSI responded to the UFC star’s query, but his answer was a little shaky. KSI said, “Well, yeah I mean I do other stuff as well but been known for the gaming.”

The British YouTuber wasn’t a name in the combat sports world at the time, as this was many years ago. A few years later, KSI participated in three boxing matches, winning two of them. However, only one of his fights with Logan Paul was done under professional rules.

Fans from all over the world paid close attention to Paul vs. KSI since both competitors engaged in a lot of trash-talking before the match. The two, who are co-owners of Prime Energy Drink, however, have settled their dispute now.

However, KSI doesn’t compete anymore and is completely focused on his life besides boxing. Meanwhile, the Irishman is still active in the UFC.

Conor McGregor: Current UFC situation

Currently, the former two-weight UFC champion stands number 12 in the lightweight division of UFC. However, the pay-per-view star is out of fighting. Because of an injury, he suffered in his bout last year.

However, McGregor has recovered from the leg break and is back to training. He often posts videos of himself hitting pads and kicking bags. Moreover, the Irish star has hinted at a return soon.

But there is no clear news about the timeline of his UFC return or the opponent he will fight next. Given his star status, it is sure that the former champion will have plenty of names to enter the cage. Hence, it will be exciting to see what the UFC does with McGregor on his return.
