Khamzat Chimaev, the rising welterweight prospect, lashed out at the UFC legend Daniel Cormier during an interview after the latter commented on his friendship with Darren Till.

Chimaev and the British middleweight fighter Darren Till have been getting along well ever since the latter moved to Sweden to train with the Russian-born fighter at Allstars training center.

The two fighters share a close bond and they also upload hilarious videos of them on the internet. Many UFC fans like their friendship and apparently they compare it with that of Daniel Cormier and Khabib Nurmagomedov.

Recently, Cormier asked Chimaev about his relationship with Till and also joked about it. However, this didn’t sit well with the Chechen-born wrestler. And he quickly responded by taking a shot at Cormier’s friendship with Nurmagomedov.

Chimaev said, Brother, you said what is that sh*t. This is not sh*t. This is brother’s relationship brother. What you and Khabib doing that sh*t brother in the gym, you know. Yeah, you and Khabib doing the same sh*t in the gym. What you can say about that? Yeah, that’s my brother.”

Who is Khamzat Chimaev fighting next?

The 10-0 professional MMA record holder Chimaev has looked invincible ever since his debut in the UFC. He has competed in four UFC fights and has won all of them via a finish, three in the first round.

Earlier, it was difficult for the UFC to find him a viable opponent. However, now Chimaev has a name for his fifth UFC bout. He will take on the number two ranked welterweight fighter Gilbert Burns on the main card of UFC 273. An intriguing featherweight title bout between Alexander Volkanovski vs ‘The Korean Zombie’ will headline the event.

However, Burns vs. Chimaev will also be a highlight of the event, as both the welterweight combatants are some of the best wrestlers in the division. Moreover, ‘Burns’ has lost only one fight in his previous eight. Hence, he will be a good contest for Chimaev.
